Elkem V-205 is a one-component, addition-cure silicone rubber compound. This opaque black material provides a protective coating for light-sensitive transistors and integrated circuits. It offers primerless adhesion to inorganic substrates and must be refrigerated when not in use.

The cure schedule for thick sections (25-50 ml) is 2 hours at 230°F plus 1 hour at 300°F; thin sections (less than 20 ml) require 15-60 min. at 300°F.
